I think in components before I think in screens.

I started out as a front-end developer, and that still shapes how I work. I think about components before pages, and about what happens when the data is ugly, too long or never arrives.

From 2017 to 2021 I was a senior product designer at XP Inc., looking after the interface of Clear Corretora, the group’s stock brokerage. The app, the home broker, which is the desktop trading platform, and the brand’s token foundation in SOMA, the group’s design system.

  1. Own projects

    2025 to now

    Product Designer

    Back to product design

    I went back to product design in 2025, and the first thing I did was rebuild the Clear App from scratch with today’s tools. Not as a style exercise, but to get my hand back in and challenge decisions I had made six years earlier.

  2. Ireland, Italy and Spain

    2022 to 2026

    Career break from design

    The years in between

    I left XP at the end of 2021 and moved to Ireland in 2022, on an exchange that turned into four years abroad. I gained European citizenship along the way and also lived in Italy and Spain.

    I worked in other fields, and sorted out bank accounts, tenancy agreements and job hunting in another language.

    Senior Product Designer

    One brand, four fronts

    I worked across four teams, in marketing and in technology, with Clear Corretora at the centre of the work. It gave me an unusual view for a product designer: following the same client from the first ad to their first share purchase.

    The Clear App end to end and the flows of Clear PRO, the desktop trading platform.
    Design system
    Clear’s primitive tokens and components in SOMA, the design system shared by XP, Rico and Clear. The only Clear ambassador while its foundation was being defined.
    Acquisition
    Pages and campaigns to bring in new clients, and the account-opening email series.
    Brand and web
    The XP Investimentos portal home page, the Clear and Clear Educação websites, and the Expert XP event site.

    From the one who builds to the one who decides

    Almost seven years at the same place. The work that shaped me most there wasn’t the campaigns. It was Carrefour’s investor relations site, with the annual reports that come out of it, the brand’s first e-commerce, and an internal stock control system for Alpargatas.

What I am looking for

Interface and design systems in financial products. A brokerage, a bank, a payments company, anywhere data density is high and the cost of a misread number is real. It is the problem I have the most hours on, and it is what I enjoy doing.
